testing considering VADA testing is what cancelled two of their fights. It seems to be the most efficient and has at least caught some people.
Neither VADA nor USADA is perfect but they are still solid tests whereas Top Rank goons are basically relying on NADA.
Yup, it doesn't make sense, VADA was effective and came at a lower price, but they'll pay more for USADA?
I believe they are BOTH effective....USADA has had way more success in catching cheats as it is used much more frequently and on a wider spectrum of sports. That is only because it was set up first and it is the official testing agency for the Olympics and such. In terms of the cost they can probably write it off as an expense and also with USADA there may be a clause that lets GBP know that someone has failed their A sample so they could work behind the scenes for a replacement. So maybe USADA does cost 5 times more than VADA but that still may be cheaper than losing a couple of million due to being in the dark for a positive test and not having sufficient time to find a replacement?
With USADA, I think they, GBP, are better able to stipulate unique contracts/procedures that allows them to maintain a bit of control over what goes on. That Quillin-Wright situation was outright bizarre. VADA, it seems, were more independent of GBP.
I agree completely, VADA just killed off 2 of GBP's top cards. I doubt that sat very well with GBP, honestly a replacement won't be the same as the original, that's what people paid money for.
So basically the point is not to clean up the sport, but to give the appearance of cleaning up the sport...
Read Stephen Edwards interview with Montoya on Btalk, Gabe discusses the differences in detail. USADA is 80k more expensive to use per test, tests less, and yet Golden Boy insists on using them.
dont care which they use both are random and both are better testing than the commission testing so im all for it
