I hope he fights Chisora. Wlad's image has been sullied a bit by pulling out and then getting caught out golfing when he was supposed to be injured.

He needs to make that right and then move on.

he actually said "late spring/early summer" which means May or June and would give Klitscko no time for a tune up

Fair play to you mate, I don't believe you talking **** and you have been given this info in good faith, but its most likely wrong.

The soccer season is finished in May.

Theres no major sporting event in June in UK or Germany.

European Holidays are in July so it would affect UK PPV sales which is the main source of revenue.

Theres rarley major fights in those July and August.

No way Sky would want to jepordise such a big fight. Head of Sky Boxing Adam Smith wants this fight more than anyone in the business.

Its not a problem securing a stadium as teams only play there every fortnight so they can just have the fight there the week after.

Chisora was interviewed by Steve Bunce only a couple of days ago and talked about other possible opponents.

His feelings were that a Klitschko fight was now out of the window but would look for other world level fights to put himself back in contention for a title shot.

    ???????

I couldn't ****ing believe it. You know, I really hate the argument of "If ____ did this, he'd get **** on" but I think it's absolutely true in this case. If Haye pulls out of this fight again, this board will blow up with thread after thread calling him a *****, yet look at this absolute load of ****ing bollocks:

I got bored of quoting posts after the first page. These people are absolutely ****ing ridiculous. Complete arseholes.

I wouldn't celebrate Wlad meeting Chisora, I'd rather see the Haye matchup, but I think he owes Dereck a fight now for his own image's sake.

The abdominal "injury" couldn't have been real serious if Wlad was out swinging a golf club a week and half after the fight cancellation.

I thought the 50-50 deal didn't have rematch clauses?

    Steward panicked. thats what happened.

I thought Bernd Boente was smarter than to have Wlad out on the links in Florida doing a magazine story about his golf game when he was supposed to be recovering.

I am a Klitschko fan, but I have to admit, if David Haye was caught doing something like that, Klitschko fans would be outraged.

they were he just had a better reason...not getting paid.

The story i have heard is Wlad and Steward took Chisora very very lightly. Only 3 weeks hard training, these rumours were around a while before the pull out.

During the media build up Steward went and watched Chisora training and realise he was in very very good shape, and allot better fighter than they had bargained for. Knowing Wlad was not sufficiently prepared, they pulled out. The injury happend in the only non media workout of the week.

Genuinely a 2 inch tear of any muscle and your out of action for at least a year.

Something is not right with this whole scenario, that is for sure.

That story has some plausibility to it.

It really doesn't though. Big Dunk has posted the "3-week camp" rumor many times, and it's just that, a "rumor" that he started.
3 weeks of camp? Come on, Wlad was in camp at the very latest November 5th...that's 5-weeks before the fight.

And does this look like someone who was taking his opponent lightly?

    I don't think so....
It's just BS spread by haters.

Either way, K-2 has botched the PR aspect of this whole story.

Wlad should have stayed out of the public eye for at least a month.
