Of the ones I have seen Jalolov is the best, he's a giant with good skills and power, I think he will end up holding 1 or two of the belts at some stage. It's HW though so anything can happen.

Maybe Jai can juice a bit and take over the heavyweight scene.

You have a point but it's not quite as bad as stated. There aren't a strong crop of young contenders coming through but there are still some really good fights to be made. let me paint a brighter picture:
    • Itauma is a very good prospect IMHO.
    • Anderson is likely IMHO to get his act together and be a force
    • I expect Hrgovic to pick up momentum from the Dubois fight and be a force for years. Yes. he's had problems getting fights, and perhaps he could more ambitious per @Brighton bomber , but fighting Dubois rather than going straight for Joshua is okay in my book. He hasn't had much decent pro opposition yet.
    • I think Dubois is a bit underrated due to his losses. He'll keep improving and be a force too.
    • Jalolov will be a full-time pro after the next Olympics, he still has time to get a few big fights.
    • Jai Opetaia can move up and be a force.
    • Torrez and Gurgen both look pretty good to me.
    • It's heavyweight boxing and new contenders can pop up fairly quickly ....

He will be fine until he steps up a level and gets hit by a decent heavyweight that can punch he thinks he can get hurt and rally at the moment which he probably can but not at a higher level the fight will be over before he gets the chance he will beat Clarke though.

Put some respect on calzaghes name the guy worked miracles with his glass hands, Hrgovic and Calzaghe can’t be compared, not many fighters could have done what Calzaghe did with those injuries. The man is a legend.

No american heavyweights coming up means boxing will continue to be near non-existent in the USA.

Opetaia is the best cruiser in the world by a mile.

In my opinion he’d beat Joseph Parker which makes him a top 5 heavyweight right now.

It is not that what you are saying is wrong, but I discussed some of the popular prospects out of the Olympics and how they are going nowhere. The point of the thread is that there is no great pool of talent anywhere.

pretty bleak for years now if you ask me. The big 4 to 5 top heavyweights are finally beginning to fight each other and close the argument who is the best of this era.. All off them had their peak and will retire soon. heck after that chisora could pick up a belt its that bad.

Seems to be an issue. At 24 hopefully learns to ditch a few amateur habits.
