Very recent video -- Toney seems to be in superb condition

He's in pretty decent shape considering his normal weight fluctuations and the fact he is over 40 years of age.

 

He's not in shape, the aspect ratio of the vid is probably wrong.

i just want to see Toney fight one of the Klitschko boys now as he's being going on about it for so ****ing long now. They would both murder him I suspect but still.... it's starting to get to me a bit now. It would sell though, I'd look forwad to the build up alot more than with Haye aswell.

If James Toney was in "superb condition", he would not be a heavyweight.

 

He needs a solid win first. Toney should face Vitali and not Wlad. Wlad's speed, youth, power and movement may prove too much. Vitali is older , slower and more stationary.

No. Toney is not a large framed man, he is not a tall man. He should be under 200 lbs.

 

Let's see if he can beat Fres Oquendo before we throw the poor guy in with one of the Klitschkos. ****in guy got taken to school by Sam Peter and some people think he has a chance to beat the best HW in the world.

 

I don't think anyone (including Toney himself) believes that he can become a champion at this stage.
He talks big to keep his name out there. Every fight against someone very tall has never materialized.

It’s not Toneys fault tought. He was going to fight Thompson in December, but Thompson pulled out couple of weeks before the match.

Also Mccline fight was made but Toney got injured.
He also tried to get fight with Wladimir in December and couple of months ago.

 

Sure stuff happens, but isn't it odd that in a climate dominated by super tall heavyweights, he's only fought guys that are not super tall. This is fine and good, except that he talks so big, like he's some sort of giant killer. All evidence points to the contrary. Every time a fight with a tall dude is available, it somehow doesn't get made, it doesn't get rescheduled, it just doesn't happen.
