Very very strong rumours Floyd will be fighting Andre Berto on CBS, bring it on then.

Maybe it'll have the Salka effect where more people would be interested in viewing it for the car crash/disgust than an average but acceptable opponent match up, Floyd is only interested in being in conversation and getting paid remember.

If Berto had beaten Khan or Thurman then it'd be meh but understandable, the only reason he could be doing this is because something as hilarious as this generates more intrigue than a merely passable opponent, all Floyd cares about is being talked about and getting paid. He'll still train as if it's sugar ray leonard he's going in against.

Berto. Meh, I'll find something else on TV. Mayweather should have held onto the WBO belt and beaten Brook for the undisputed WW championship. That would have been a hell of a way to go out: as the undisputed champ with all of the belts... Even though I doubt 49 will be his last.

Complaining about a free fight. Smh. Not the best opponent sure, but who else was he supposed to fight. Anything other than Pacquiao 2/ Cotto 2/ Canelo 2 or Golovkin wll considered a cherrypick. Thurman, Brook and Porter still have a lot to prove. Berto has held more titles/had more title fights that all 3 combined.

Cuz floyd doesn't give a flying **** about you.
Jesus Christ you're "so upset" over this? Is your life that easy going that something like this causes such an extreme reaction?

Good for Floyd. He mentioned Berto and Mayfield's names for weeks, and he's sticking with the better of the 2 fighters.

Berto is actually a live dog in this fight. He has really good handspeed and pretty good power. He's not the smartest of fighters though, so I'd expect FLoyd to give him a lesson in September.

This is such a troll job by Mayweather. Khan is probably going to be on suicide watch for the next couple days because of this.

I wonder if Berto is going to ask Khan if he'd like to be his chief sparring partner. I never wanted Khan to get the fight because he's been coming off like a spoiled little princess, but this is a real troll move by Floyd. I personally think it's hilarious and it'll probably force Khan to fight Thurman in the fall now.

So fighting Bum Bum Rios (who "lost" to abril and mike Alvarado) and Chris Algeri (who "lost" to his sparring partner) and charging you $60 for it isn't worth de-fanning? but fighting a former 2-time champ on free network tv is? You might be the worst poster on this forum. I swear YDKSAB

Boxing hasn't made a damn thing! Floyd made himself the highest paid athlete in the world!

He doesn't owe this sport anything and YOU WILL tune in regardless!

Floyd has helped keep this sport relevant and this is his swan song. Why must it be a killer? Has he NOT proven himself already?

Why would anyone expect anything more from Mayweather. We continue to feed this criminal dollar bills when he is less entertaining than watching paint dry.Haymon and CBS/Showtime are the enablers in this street hustle.

Fighting on network tv will give him a huge bargaining chip if it draws a good share of ratings. Floyd is a free agent and it will only enable him to make more money for #50 if this fight does great ratings. That is what this fight is all about.
