Yeah, I know Makhmudov stopped him by ear injury 10 years ago in WSB, but Vianello was just 20 y.o. kid back then and Makhmudov was 25. Plus I think Makhmudov skills, which was never any good to start with, diminished significantly since his amateurs days because he has fallen in love with his power. Add here that Vianello, while far from elite, has shown some grit against hard-hitting Ajagba, while Makhmudov looked as fragile as they come both in durability and mentality departments once he met the guy who started to hit him back in Kabayel. I think Vianello will target Makhmudov's fragile body from the very beginning and Arslanbek won't like it. I expect Makhmudov to quit on his stool after 6-7 rounds but won't be surprised if Vianello knocks him out properly with a punch to the head or body.
Hard to really commit to a Vianello win as of now , he's really beaten nobody and his best effort was a loss to Ajagba. I think Makhmudovs people believe this is a very winnable fight.. Should they have a lot of confidence? I would have doubts,,Big Mak may be the favorite but I think it could be a toss up depending on Vianello's defense. If it's not tight he goes,,,,,,,
Wouldn't shock me if he did. He showed a good chin against Ajagba and plenty of grit. Makhmudov is so crude, makes Ajagba look like Usyk in comparison. So Makhmudov might be in for a real tough night if he hasn't shown any improvement since the Kabayel fight.
I can't remember my scorecard now but Gorgeous Guido either arguably drew with Ajagba or it was like a 6-4 Ajagba type of fight and IIRC some might even have scored it to Guido. Guido also hurt Ajagba at least once and pretty badly IIRC. So that was a really good performance by him and it suggests he's improved and is actually better than many previously thought he was. He's very tough, has decent enough skills and he can punch a bit and this match up would've been considered a lot wider in Mak's favour prior to their respective last fights. I think I might even favour Guido To be fair to Mak, even though he got dominated and stopped by Kabayel that was one of the most impressive and brutal body punching displays I've seen in a long time in the HW division.
Vianello started well until he screwed up against Kingsley Ibeh, since then he is vulnerable and in decline, he has the power to threaten Makhmudov but unfortunately not his psyche...
I think it is a tough fight for Makhmudov for sure, Makhmudov is kind of like Wilder but worse IMO, really predictable, untidy and mediocre boxer with a very suspect chin and gas tank. He might overwhelm boxers with his power and physical strength which I can see happening against Vianello but his flaws outweigh his strengths quite heavily. That being said Vianello really isn't anything special either. It's a hard fight to predict. I don't rate either boxer but I'll back Vianello to show his grit in a good, brutal, entertaining and short fight. I can see Makhmudov coming out aggressively to try and overwhelm Vianello in which this will be fairly effective even if it means eating a few shots himself. I can see the tide turning with Vianello's momentum growing and his chances of winning increase as the minutes swing by, as Makhmudov keeps eating shots and throws less punches. Until the mid to late rounds whereby Vianello gains control of the fight leading to Makhmudov quitting on his stool.
Why are they saying Mak can't take a pop to the breadbasket as opposed to giving Kurdish German Slickness Kabayel credit for being the best body puncher in the division and indeed one of the best in the entire sport? You do realize he also knocked out Sanchez with his vicious body attack too, right? This content is protected This content is protected
