he showed great offense from throwing at all angles, he didnt need a defense because Mijares wasnt throwing anything at all

Mijares let vic control that fight from the sound of the bell with a gameplan of only trying to counter vic when he lunges.

Donaire will go after him like he did in the first fight, and unlike Vic's last 2 opponents Donaire has power to keep Vic honest.

 

Agree.....I went against Vic in the tips however I was with him every punch.....love Vic but rated Mijares above him....dont mean I hate Vic or dont support him.

I don't know of a single Aussie poster that wanted Vic to lose.....Most expected him to lose....but expecting and hoping are 2 different things.

Fact of the matter is this:

1. Vic doesn't speak very good english. Many people don't see him as Australian. And that does limit his fan base here. (Seen the same thing with Sakio in the US).

2. Mundine gets a lot of hatred because he is aboriginal. I was lucky enough to be sitting ringside for the Green fight, and the chants from sections of the crowd were terrible to say the least.

You can all start saying, no Australia isn't a racist country etc etc. But fact of the matter is, the Cronulla riots of 2005, only show what is boiling under the skin of this country.


Hence Geale, Green and Briggs have a large fan base because of their anglo-celtic origins.
