Darchinyan has improved alot since. He could easily turn this around.

 

Vic is the man.

I dont like the fact he is having a go at Nonito like that, he really shouldnt be. But I love how he gave it to Arum.

Vic vs Donaire is the fight I wanna see, its the fight we all wanna see and I do really feel its the fight Vic and Nonito want to happen. But I think Shaw isnt helping and even though he has the win over Vic its up to Nonito to go up the bantam and fight Vic there because he will be waiting a long time for Vic to come back down to fly to fight for his old strap.

 

so jumping up in weight and beating Miljares to become undisputed is a joke???

Vic is the man, but the guy has no advantage whatsoever against Donaire, not speed, not power, not technique, not even chin.

Its good that Vic beat Mijares but Mijares was way overrated as we now know. His style hasnt change much.

Can someone tell me or pinpoint how Vic has improved?

Meanwhile if Donaire tightens that defense and stops being cocky, he'll b near ****in unstoppable up to 122.

Vic can bounce back and beat Nonito, he seems to have greatly improved since that loss, he is more defensive and holds his hands up more, but still does the same feints that he used to do, which are effective.

Bring on the rematch, this should be very interesting. Donaire might be good, but Vic has proven himself more so since that loss

 

Vic is a more intelligent and capable fighter then he was when he lost to donaire. That being said I would still have to make him the underdog in the rematch. B/c like the above poster said he really doesn't hold many tangable advantages over Donaire. The Size and speed would likely still prove to much for him.

Yeah and it made Vic a better fighter, how bout he jabs and moves now instead of just loading up on everything. His a boxer puncher now instead of just a brawler his alot less gung ho.

It just took a KO too really wake him up.

Now not saying he would win a rematch but it would be well worth a rematch.

 

Man, everybody has been going on about how hard Donaire hits, how good he is looking etc etc. And fair enough. But he hasn't done anything to suggest he would knock out Vic again.

Just cuz he done it once, don't mean it will happen again and the last thing it does is make it a certainty. It's like saying Lewis was destined to always lose to Rahman.

Vic's KO has more to do with Donaire's power and Vic's defence at the time than it has to do with Donaire winning x amount of times out of ten over Vic cuz he did it once!

Not to mention that Vic was STARCHED by that punch. Anyone would have been. Somehow Vic managed to stand the **** up afterwards. Let's see Donaire do that next time Vic is done with him.

Also, these idiots saying Vic doesn't want to fight Donaire - go and do some fking reading on your own and work it out. Donaire left Shaw. Shaw is mad and wont give him Vic.

mijares can't hurt vic at all because he doesn't have the pop, even vic would ktfo calderon if he was in jr. flyweight.

donaire is the ****ing truth, vic hasn't fought a boxer like donaire the last time since he lost, good boxer with power. Mijares was a better boxer but he got no pop at all.

donaire would have KOed the likes of arce and munoz rather than take them to a decision.

I see another KO victory for donaire, i think he can carry his power up to the higher weights cause of his size

I was thinking about it, and there is one advantage that Vic has. He is much more awkward than Donaire. However, that did not help him much last time, did it?

I like Vic, been following him for a long time (since his early pro fights were on aussie TV) and would love to think he could win a rematch.
Even if we assume he entered the last fight overconfident and wont make that mistake again. Even if we assume that he has improved since the last fight. Even if we assume he comes in with a solid gameplan to neutralise Donaire's left hand...

As a Darchinyan fan I would prefer Vic won. As a boxing fan I prefer that the better fighter wins.

Overall I'd rather they both had another two fights before the rematch. I would hate for Vic to fight Donaire next, lose, and have his career dragged down as a result. I want him to take on some other big names, beat them, then he can lose to Donaire afterwards!
Call me selfish, but he is just too exciting for the lower weightclasses to lose him into any sort of obscurity just yet. Besides, I think his best is yet to come, and I want a match between the two when they are both at their best. They have both improved since their last encounter, let's see who has learned what.
