Vic loves to ice southpaws, so he keeps on telling everyone.

Im a little sick of Vic and his big mouth, i still hope he wins but he might be outboxed, unless he can land some big shots early he might be chasing Z Gorres for 12 rounds.

Can Vic win on points in Pinoy land?? :think

The ref & judges aint hometown boys, so Vic can definitely win on points.
Tho u would think he has to hurt Z Gorres relatively early in this fight to guarantee it.
Landing big shots might make Gorres go into his shell.

Cebu City -- Z 'The Dream' Gorres, who will face former world champion Vic Darchinyan in Australia on Feb. 2 at the Waterfront Hotel & Casino, displayed sharpness and good timing during yesterday's public sparring session at the ALA Gym in Banilad, this city.

Gorres sparred three rounds each against lightweight Glen Masicampo and bantamweight Gil Millegen and wowed the crowd at the jampacked ALA Gym as he repeatedly tagged the slower Masicampo with straight lefts and sharp counters and displayed his defensive prowess against the rampaging Millegen.

"We're 90% ready," declared Gorres' trainer Edito Villamor who also informed that Gorres had already logged a hundred rounds in sparring and will do eigtheen more rounds as Gorres tapers off in the next two weeks.

"He's ready to take on Darchinyan," ALA Gym boss Antonio L. Aldeguer said. "I have never seen Gorres so sharp and so confident."

The Gorres-Darchinayan fight is for the IBF super flyweight title elimator where the winner will challenge world champion Dimitri Kirilov of Russia.

Meanwhile, Aldeguer informed that the tickets of the highly-anticipated match were selling briskly and not that many tickets were left for the 3,000-capacity Waterfront Hotel Grand Ballroom.

Dubbed as 'Now or Never', the event will be covered by Solar Sports to be telecast in the Philippines and Australia and by live Internet streaming the rest of the world.

Z Gorres is going to give Vic a lot of trouble and i think he will beat him. He gave Fernado Montiel a tough fight and he maybe to good for Vic here.

Wrong Montiel beat Zzzzzzzz comfortably. I don't see anything special with zzzzz very boring to watch. I think If darch fought Zzzzzzzzzz stablemate Aj Banal he would get KTFO!! Zzzzzz is elusive and hard to hit.Let's see what happens.Darch is old! Z has a glass jaw with sus fitness. Darch will have problems though IMO. But won't be suprised if Darch stops zzzz or zzzzzz stops darchi..

    Yeah im very disapointed mate.:fire:fire:fire

Willy should win, the guy he is facing seems a bit untested & has lost.

    Hopefully Vic gets the KO.:yep
Interesting to see if Z Gorres gets tagged a bit early, how he reacts.:deal

dude, don't worry about it. he lost his last fight in the philippines against fernando montiel. if filipinos did not steal the decision to win a world championship, i think they have less reason now to steal a decision for a #1 ranking. don't worry about it.

and besides, if vic beats gorres, i do not think it will be by decision.
