I like Gorres to win but my mind said Vic by KO around 10-11 rd. Gorres has all the skills but one thing he don't have is punching power to keep Vic honest & the punch resistance to keep himself in the fight.

 

I feel the same way.. I see a KO for Vic..I hope Im wrong though

 

Gorres is vastly superior in terms of boxing skills and will win a decision if it goes that far. Vic needs a KO in this fight. It is a tough one to call, but I would lean to Gorres by decision.

 

Darchinyan is very arrogant and refuses to listen to advice, his only stategy is to KO Gorres and he will have a lot of trouble if h fails to adjust to Gorres' movement. The fact that Goores is also a Southpaw will cause Darchinyan a lot of trouble as his jab is very week and he holds it low so he will get hit. I never rule out Darchinyan landing a bomb so there are only two results - Gorres by points or Darchinyan by KO (however Gorres will hit Darchinyan a lot so who knows despite his low punching power he could just KO Darchinyan - that be VERY nice!)

 

I dont think Gorres has a shaky chin. He got hit with LOTS of hard shots in the montiel fight. Towards the end he was slowing down and got blasted by a accurate and powerful puncher in Montiel. Montiel landed a lot of hard shots on Gorres yet Gorres mad it to the final bell. I dont think Vic will land as much on Gorres and Gorres possibly has a chance for a decision which would be my pic.

i did not know that he had until the final few rounds of the montiel fight. gorres was outboxing montiel badly from the beginning up to round 9 when gorres relaxes and was hit by a big shot by montiel. he was clinching like crazy from then on to avoid being knock-downed. (gorres stll won that match imo, if not for ****ing viruet who slapped deductions without warning and some questionable scoring by two of the judges.)

i feel that darchinyan is much harder puncher than montiel so a KO win for darchinyan is a huge possibilty.

The first fight is a short clip of his bout against Glenn Donaire.

Vic also fought Glenn and he broke the kid's jaw.

 

Gorres' superior footwork and speed will be enough to earn him a decision. Lets see what the Raging bull learned from his fight with donaire, another technical fighter whos actually good.

 

I hate to say it but I do agree with you! There is a bigger chance that vic will win a KO than z winning by UD or TKO for that matter.

I hope Z does the unthinkable! Z to KO VIC!

You guys are comparing Montiel, a crafty, slick boxer to a 1D Darchinyan. That's like comparing Ike Quartey to Mayorga. It has no bearing in this fight.

I think Gorres can outslick Darchinyan, he is way quicker of both hand and foot, and you think Darchinyan can land a bomb to take him out, well maybe but I don't see him outboxing Gorres. Gorres will make him look silly IMO.
