My gut says it would be an entertaining fight. I'll go with Vic just cause Arce's a little more shop worn.
Ive always wanted to see this fight. When Vic was unbeaten Arce's people tried to steer him away from Vic. Now both arent the premier fighters down there anymore, so I say they should get it on. Hopefully Vic gets past Kirilov and this fight can happen. At first I said Arce, then I said Vic. My prediction changed sometimes on how and how easy he would win but I still maintain that Vic get the victory. Would be an awesome fight.
You guys do remember what Arce did with Hussein Hussein? Hussein Hussein trains with Vic from what I've read, and they fight similarly. Strong power punches, but relatively low volume output, and always that intimidation factor in display. Arce won their fight together.
By the way, I'm a Vic and Arce fan. Hopefully Vic will rebound completely from last year. He still has many years ahead of him as a boxer. It was just one bump on the road. Most great fighters go through that. Arce reminds me of a smaller version of Barrera. Just a tough kid who puts out his best everytime. It was kind of sad that he lost to Mijares. He was on his way to the heavier weights. Hopefully, Arce can rebound fully from it also.
Vic fight absolutely nothing like Hussein. Literally chalk and cheese. Hussein is a well schooled fighter with a classic technique. He is orthodox and one of his better shots is his left hook/rip to the body. He fought Arce's fight in the first fight after getting hurt early and gave almost as good as he got till the very end. In the 2nd fight he tried to fight a little more like he is used to, using the ring and his skills but the gamble backfired because he couldnt get Arce's respect and Jorge mowed right through him. Better handspeed and footwork than Vic but no way he has anywhere near the power. Their common opponants are evidence of this. Hussy isnt a volume puncher but he doesnt through every punch with evil intentions like Vic either. Vic has a very unique style, much different to Hussy's and one that would either bash Arce silly or see him get knocked out trying.
I remember Vic talking **** about how he was going to go all the way up to 118-122 and beat Rafael Marquez:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl
Pretty sure he said he wanted to go to 130 aswell :admin . He is well known for wanting to spar middleweights in training but his trainers used to have to prevent him from doing this. Before Donaire beat him I reckon he would have taken the fight if it was offered, but obviously with the way boxing works there is no way he would be considered. As Im sure 100's of fighters around the weight would have also. Most boxers wouldnt mind taking a huge risk of loss for the right money, thats what most of them are in it for anyway.
i think arce wins this one. vic hasn;t been the same since he lost to donaire. arce hasn't been the same since he lost to mijares either but i still feel he could take vic out
:good Good post, anyone comparing the two (vic and Hussy) needs there eyes checked... atsch COMPLETELY different fighters.
THis is a very bad post... You have clearly shown that you have not seen hardly any footage of either fighter.
