Saturday 29 September 2012 Foxwoods Resort, Mashantucket, Connecticut, United States this other dude any good or not?
On HBO as well, not Vic's usual Showtime. Can't say I have seen Del Valle so I can only go off his BoxRec. Doesn't appear to have fought anyone of note. The really question is where is Vic at this stage of his career?
vics problem is sticking to the gameplan. he naturally wants to just tear in and rip his opponents head off. when he is focused he can produce a masterpiece aka vs mijares etc. mijares was considered untouchable, but vic schooled him.
And the Kirilov fight before that which no one talks about. Vic destroyed the Freddie Roach trained fighter with ease.
Vic did the bully thing with Kirillov (much like he did with Glenn Donaire). Was a good fight to watch. Made Kirillov look very average. But it was definitely awesome to see him wipe the smirk off Arce's face!
I think he has slowed a bit since mijares etc, I also think his patience may be shorter too, still one tough dude
Orlandito is going to be too big & too strong for Vic. I expect Vic to give his all but come up well short.
This will be an awesome fight. The styles matchup is fireworks guaranteed. Vic has been losing lately but against opponents at the highest level. This is a do or die for him Orlandito knows it and knows what hes up against. I expect a war and a break throught performance by Del Valle who should be too fast and strong for the Raging Bull here are some highlights from his early pro fights [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExbYO6n1gEg&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PL34BCDE2E88DCD209[/ame]
