What do you all think of his comments? Before Mijares: "He will be badly damaged when I'm done" (worrying given that he's already put a guy in a coma and ended his career) "I will send him to the hospital, at least for a check up" "He wont be able to fight for a few years" "Pay close attention because I am going to knock him out” He not only fights like a standover man, he talks like one as well... bad mofo
He said almost the same things before fighting nonito. He said he would knock him out just like his brother.
before all you bag him or any other fighter for hyping up fights causing interest whether good or bad just remember this is an entertainment business and without all the Vic's, Mayorga's, Judah's, Bhops, Paez, Camacho, Tysons and Ali ect you probbaly wouldnt be that interested in boxing. to me people who bag fighters like the above for their statments and the interest in boxing their making are just shooting themselves and the sport in the foot!
Vic is a jerk. Luckily for him, his promoter won't let him fight Donaire again. Otherwise, he would have to be scraped off the canvas again.
Everybody on the forum, I just felt like expressing it in this thread as it seemed relevant given the responses. After Vic's fight with Donaire: "Haha, Vic Dachinnyone!" "Vic's a bum!" "Vic has a glass jaw and no skills!" After Vic's fight with Mijares: "Damn, Vic is the man, who can beat him?!" "Did you hear his interviews? The guy is so badass. He can back up what he says." "Vic is one bad dude!" All probably from the same posters. Same applies for Mijares. Everyone is on his nuts prior to this fight but afterwards are convinced he's a bum despite all he'd accomplished prior and the skills he'd shown. Nobody has a balanced perspective. It's as if they assume because of this win that Vic will always be the man or that Mijares will always be a bum. It's the exact same way after every fight, regardless of what that fighter's done prior or would go on to do later. Everyone is fixated on the present, never giving any thought to the future, or even at times, the past.
