Vic has told Shaw he would rather fight Montiel at 118 rather than Marquez at 126. So that is the fight Shaw will look at making. Shaw is hoping it can be put together as part of a double header on Aug 7 - Vic/Montiel, Mares/Perez II.
Better option, he still needs to fight smart though. I think the last figth he did really well in was the Arce fight, really want to see him make big name for himself, and shut the haters up.
Yeah Aug 7 may be wrong. and Montiel being with TR might be a spanner in the works, considering they didn't push ahead with the Donaire/Vic fight.
Good to see Vic fighting regularly, not many top 15 P4P fighters have 3 or 4 fights a year these days. He should stay at 118lbs or find someone with limited power at 122lbs
If Vic struggled against Agbeko who wasn't a p4p fighter, how does anybody give him a chance against 1 of the best p4p fighters (or close to it) Raph. Marquez who is 2 divisions above Vic's fighting weight.
