Its a bonus to have the likes of Vic Darchinian representing our flag and taking the unified world super flyweight titles back to our shores. Congratulations to him and his backers. Tough, humble, effective, genuine and passionate. What a champ.
You Aussies should be very proud of what your fellow Armenian Aussie has done tonight. What an incredible performance. He schooled Mijares. The Mexican couldn't win one single round against Vic!   Great, great performance!:happy :happy :happy I am very happy for Vic! Go, Darchinyan!!!:happy :happy :happy
great performance.he is no longer a lunging one dimensional slugger looking for the one big shot.:good
thought i'd drop by the aussie forum and give a shout of congratulations to vic and to his fans. barring a freak punch, i thought he had little chance of winning. just goes to show that "better skillset" does'nt mean "better fighter". good on vic and good on aussie boxing. what a way to get your career back on track. have a good one fellas. a unified IBF, WBA and WBC champ should make the dib fiasco from a couple of weeks back seem like an after thought. year of the underdogs so far!
Some of us keep saying this, don't we, Cooke, but we get laughed at...:-( ...less and less every day, though... Margarito, Andrade, Darchinyan, etc., etc....:happy
He sure is! I cannot wait to see the guns-at-dawn shoot-out between him and Montiel, for all the belts. :happy
the general forum has been caught up way too much in "analyzing" and "grading" fighters that it's gotten ridiculous. we've been shown again that anything can happen in this sport. just like cotto was suppose to steam roll margarito......
Who here actually watched the Darchinyan vs Kirilov fight? If you saw that fight im sure you would have had a different opinion of vic going into this one. That was the fight that really made me pick vic for this one. Kirilov is a volume puncher and vic nullified his volumes.
