Arce's corner stops it after the 11th on the advice of ringside Physician. Arce can take a punch and has heart but he never really let go or turned it into the pier 6 we thought it would be, Vics power probably had a lot to do with it. Vic needs to settle the score with Nonito Donaire, that is the fight that now needs to happen. The fight was decent but not the barn burner we expected.
I am very disappointed for Arce, BUT to be honest (and trust me, I'm no Holy man) I prayed for Arce to be OK in this fight. He will feel it bad, but I don't think he is truly-lasting hurt. I wish for him to retire. He's been one of my top 5 fave's for years, and that was not him in there, nor has it been for a time now. That said, F*CK Darchynian!!:fire But I must admit, he is SUPER improved in the last year, look at what he did to Mijares as well! In all seriousness now, congratulations to Vic, but I'll be mad at him for a week or two.
Yes, agree. I wish for Arce to retire now. And if that be the case, let the man finish his last fight. Only one more round, however unlikely he land a punch to hurt Vic and possibly pull it off, there was that chance no matter how small. All I'm saying is let the man fight possibly his last fight to the end. congratulations to Vic for MASSIVE improvements and the success that has come with it.:yep
