What a styles clash. The stalking, relentless pressure fighter with the killer body attack and solid technical skills or the basic but brutally powerful puncher? I think Lopez holds the style edge, but Saldivar holds the edge in class clearly IMO, which is why I'd probably take him to grind down Lopez late in a 15 round war. I could see it going the way of Lopez earlier though if he's able to follow up on some big shots, without being hurt in return that is. Very difficult fight to pick.
Tough fight to call. Both men were slow starters and were vulnerable to KD`s in the first few rounds, but once they got the sweat going and got in their groove look out. Saldivar was the better infighter and physically the stronger man as well, but Danny had the better one punch power and longer reach and knew how to use it. As far as stamina is concerned both men had great stamina so neither man holds a distinct edge over the other. This is a 50-50 fight imo, with maybe a very slight edge going to Saldivar for his comitted attack to the body which Danny sometimes neglected to do, that might be the difference in the outcome should this fight go into the later rounds. Either way, this bout is not going the distance I`m sure, probably ends in a TKO ref stoppage sometime between rounds 8 and 14 with the loser being stopped on his feet while taking a barrage of sustained blows against the ropes, would be one hell of a fight while it lasts.
