What was a real treat was the youtube vid at the end of the piece of his DQ loss to Baby Luis. Really nice clarity in the vid. Watched it and still not sure why the DQ. Anyone know why?
Can't comment on the DQ, but Mike Casey is one of my favorite writers. Excellent piece that makes you want to watch Saldivar footage.
Wish he wasn't such a blind spot for me. I have to cop to being unfairly dismissive of him, and there's no real reason for it. He was a great fighter, I have to admit that. Anyone would. I've even tried to find a spark of interest by watching a few of his efforts, but his style and fights just leave me cold. Can't get into Saldivar at all, and that's a shame. I wish I could. I've tried about three times, but I just find his fights uninteresting.
