This is getting ugly for Floyd. He badly needs to move up that poor PR.

Experts and casual observers that "uses common sense" are cornering him. History will be harsh against him if he won't handle this well and ASAP.

This is shocking! Conte is the PED expert that the Floyd boys use in an argument about PEDs. But now Conte is siding with Manny?

Examiner.com, huh ... do you have a CREDIBLE source?

For that matter, where's the link to the article.

More Pac propaganda. "Sources" from Examiner.com, which isn't vetted or is even a real journalistic outlet. Those cats can post whatever they want. When I see it on a real news source, I'll bite. Until then, **** off with this bull****. More Pinoy spam.

Stop lobbying for Pac ***** to cheat. If he's clean he takes the tests, no cutoff.

    Same bull****, different day.

there was no reason for the topic of drug testing to be brought up before december. honestly i have only been closely following boxing for 3-4 years, and i was under the impression that the testing was seriously strict, random blood and urine right up to the fight which is what you would expect from a sport where you can get killed. i thought nobody was doing it and thats why it was rare to hear about someone testing positive, when actually its more likely that the testing is just a pile of ****. and even when they do test positive or admit to taking band substances, they are let of the hook. In my opinion Roy Jones Jnr, James Toney and Shane Mosley are in the same category as Antonio Margorito. Ali Funeka and Juilio Cesar Chavez Jnr tested positive in there last fights this year, both will box again in 2010.

i can understand why people don't like the Mayweathers. Floyd snr is a former drug dealer, crook the lot. He is not an educated or articulate man but there is one thing he knows and that is boxing and on ALL boxing matters his opinion is credible. Floyd Jnr may be insisting on testing for personal gain, he may genuinely be scared of Manny, and other wrong reasons and not an attempt to clean up the sport which he claims, but if we end up with random blood testing as standard for major world title fights it is still a good thing. it would still be cleaning up the sport.

the standard of performance enhancing drugs is incredible and the science that goes into creating them continues to be better than the science that goes into detecting them. to think with such a basic level of testing, and such a high level of drug, that it is not being used in boxing by a significant number of fighters would be nieve. to completely disregard the notion that certain drugs can not be beneficial a week before a fight, or cannot go undetected after 24 hours is also nieve.

Am I suspicious of Manny Pacquiao after all this. Unfortunately yes. Some of the reasons for not taking random blood tests that have come from himself, his team and trainers have been alarmingly weak. His strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza has been involved in steroid scandals before, and his coach Freddie Roach has trained fighters that have tested positive for banded substances. By not taking the test it has cost him $30mil. I am not saying that Pacquiao is 100% doing anything wrong, but there is doubt on my mind and unfortunately it makes me question his achievements.

i don't really understand what the argument is against Mayweather. people saying he should go by the testing of the Nevada commission, because even a die hard Pacquiao fan would agree that the level of testing is not good enough. They say why change it for this fight, why not, its the biggest fight in 20 years why not set a precedent. People are saying he has ulterior motives, it really doesn't matter if we get the right result.

Pacquiao may feel weak after having blood withdrawn, but he is a PROFESIONAL athlete and he should accept that a high standard of drug testing is needed.

1)Would i rather see Mayweather vs Pacquiao with full random blood testing up to the day of the fight.....YES.

    2) Would boxing be a better sport if all World title fight boxers had to undergo random testing.......YES.

anyone that disagrees with the last two points.........then in the words of my mate Dan "your just another ESB **** talking ****"

14 day cut off is pointless, and no one has yet made me feel otherwise

What is your basis for accusing Pac as a cheat? Because he gained 5lbs in 3 years? :think

I remember a thread where you compared Pac to a bulked up Lesnar where the PED effect is already permanent physically.

Dude, **** you. I've NEVER mentioned Lesnar in a post or compared Pac to Lesnar. Provide the link.

And I'm not accusing Pac of cheating (though I think he IS), I'm FLAT OUT stating that his fans are lobbying for his ability to cheat.

So until Pac agrees to take the tests without conditions, him and his fans can GTFOH.

It's exactly that, Conte is very useful to them because he pretty much knew all the tricks of the trade to get away with steroid abuse for so long.

    :patsch

It's seriously PATHETIC when blind fans stopped relying on the two reliable experts who previously stand with them (USADA and Conte) are now saying they're wrong. How sad that the fallback is, "let's just believe all Sr. says, ****'em'all" :(

Suddenly internet warrior and Sr are more experts now.

Pac's fans will call Conte a hero while Floyd's fans will call Conte a criminal. Whatever someone says that suits their fighter, they're all for it lol...
