"Only a blood test, not a urine test, can determine the thickness of a boxer's blood, which could help to avoid serious health consequences."

    This is relavant because:
Examples of performance-enhancing drugs include steroids such as aspirin, Tylenol, Advil and Aleve. cortisone, as well as natural substances such as the athlete's own blood. Using their own blood to enhance their performance, athletes perform what is known as "blood packing", that is, taking around 2 pints of blood from the body 2 weeks prior to the meet, or match that they are training for, and keeping it stored. The night before the big match, they re-inject the blood back into their bloodstream, thereby having 50% more red blood cells, and enabling them to perform better. This method of performance enhancement is almost impossible to detect, unless it is actually witnessed. After the athlete is done with his or her sport for the day, two pints are taken out once again and disposed of.

Oh nice, forgot about the whole natural blood doping thing.

EDIT: one thing of note, the main reason to blood dope is to enhance performance specifically during fight night..? If so isn't the blood test right after sufficient enough?

He didn't say Payroll but he said they either were idiots about EPO or had an unknown Agenda(i.e. working angles for someone)

I saw the part about the blood thickness, though it didn't strike me as closer to EPO detection than urine, however doping with ones own blood on the other hand...

To be honest I don't know. Im not an expert but my thing is that certain experts are saying that blood testing is irrelavent but how will you catch this if the only thing they are doing is urine test.

Conte is making noise because he owns a business that sells it's services to boxers for "clean products"

He's a ****ing fraud. Probably wants to expand his business.

Basically he is saying the Nevada athletic commission testing is weak, and that former directors of the commission knowledge on PEDs is even weaker.. In a nut shell you have people testing boxer for performance enhancement drugs, who sound like they don't know what they are looking for or they are playing stupid and turning a blind eye to a serious PEDs issue in boxing.

Aye he's a pusher alright. And Tygart... he's not even a scientist, not even a doctor. Both those guys are pissed the money is not going their way.

About the blood, where was Conte's conscious when he was pushing the EPO onto all his customers?

He's no different than Floyd Landis whose accusing Armstrong of doping. Except, when you think about it threatening Armstrong to put Landis on his Radioshack team failed, and his threats to Amgen to allow him to enter the ToC race failed, he just made up some fake doping story to write a book to cash out. Much like some other doping figure running around crying foul of NSAC.

Conte has credibility based on knowing what he's talking about, he just comes off as a scumbag to people for providing the drugs.
