Victor Emilio Ramirez at it again this weekend

    Takes on Bolivian glass cannon Julio Enrique Cuellar Cabrera at HW this Friday in Bolivia. Ramirez shouldn't have any issue with this kind of opponent but I'm interested to see if he continues to slim down in weight as he has in recent bouts. Followers of his career should be well aware of how he hit rock bottom after the Lebedev fight before returning to the ring a weight class north and selling his soul in China. I suspect depression and drinking hit him hard after losing his belt and he let it get the better for him. Now while there's little to no chance of him reemerging as a contender(especially at HW) here's to hoping he continues to slim down and vanquishes any demons that may plague him. Great fighter in his prime.

    I used to like Ramirez a lot back in the day. I doubt he can do much at this point of his career, maybe he can secure a South America mega fight with Saul Farah. :lol:

    Sad that no highlights for this guy exist. Really solid fighter and total throwback. Would think he'd have more fanfare.
