ok, i agree it is normal to get SD in close fight at home, especially in champion fight. I just was not impressed by champ, all his super toughest power went into air and the old fat guy made him looking awkward
I dont mind watching Alexeev go 10 rounds against an opponent whom he has to carry through the ring for the full route of rounds, but Alexeev looked sloppy, mediocre, and extremely cautious against that limited American journeyman.Thats why I was so disappointed watching him put up such a lame show of boxing. Alexeev's coach Sdunek, who is also Vitaly and Boytsov's coach, once ordered Boytsov to go the distance and not knock his foe out in a fight. Well,I guess you are probably right in saying that Alexeev had the order to go the distance. However, the way he won that fight and the performance he showed were quite disappointing. He should have dominated every second of every round against that slow and totally predictable journeyman from the states..
The way he looked is cause for concern, but most fighters go through a slump at one point or another in their career. For now, that's what I think the case is with Alexeev. Facing another light touch or two to get the rounds in is about the best we can hope for until he gets his confidence back. Maybe by the time that happens, he'll have his conditioning issue sorted out. To me, the question becomes: is Sdunek the right man to help him overcome this?
Are some people still using stamina as an excuse for Alexeev's quit job even after Alex himself said in an interview that stamina was not an issue??!!?? Undisputed P4P cant hold a candle to him???
