This is very plausible too...after all, Galindez was somewhat addicted to going the 15 round distance, even in fights he could have concievably opened up and won by ko. All i know for sure is that Victor was a superior fighter and champion to Tarver and this would have been a rather routine title defense.
Because to many, a Galindez victory isn't a foregone conclusion. Many in this forum persist in the notion that Galindez was a bleeder and could be outboxed.
Tarver ain't the guy to bring those peeps out is he? I also think the 'Galindez was great' brigade are out a bit too much nowadays but hey-ho.
Bit off topic but was galindez ever better than conteh in your guys opinion? Looking through lightheavyweight I keep flip flopping on this. Conteh had vaunted talent and seemed to do better against common opponents but galindez was far more active. Not sure what to make of it.
Galindez should be rated higher unless you're doing a pure h2h thing and prefer conteh. While conteh was feuding with Duff etc and then nursing injuries\snorting coke...Galindez was wracking up title defences against very good fighters in near double figures.
I agree galindez is greater I don't think that's overly debatable. But given their specific career timelines when would you say galindez ever deserved to be ranked above conteh?
