My take is prime for prime Galindez wins a close decision.

But in the 1979 time frame, when Scott was the WBA #1 and they stripped him of his ranking, arguably to protect a fading Galindez, Scott would have eaten him up on the inside en route to a stoppage victory.

A prime, clever boxing, off the ropes Galindez has the stamina to fight with his back to the ropes ALL NIGHT LONG, and counter the convict's ass off for either a 15 round decision,or a late tko.

It all depends where the location of where the fight takes place, usually Victor Galindez liked to defend his title in various parts of France and Italy. But against James Scott, it could only be held at Rahway State Prison, as James is incarcerated there. Scott is a very durable tough fighter and could give Victor trouble, as Galindez did have weak scar tissue, as evidenced in the Richie Kates bout in 1976, and the first Mike Rossman encounter in 1978. I see the fight going the distance, with James forcing Galindez against the ropes early, while Victor counters him. I see Victor winning this one by a close unanimous verdict.
