Prime for prime,a healthy in both hands Conteh and a full loaded arsenal Galindez goes to the ring for 15 rounds, who wins?

    Conteh outboxes him.
Galindez has a great resume from the outside, but he beat a Green Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, beat Yaqui Lopez who was a fringe contender and got taken apart by Marvin Johnson.

    Hi Buddy.
One of them fights that should have happened but didn't, not sure the reason, politics, governing bodies, money, site, can't remember,, same with McGuigan and Nelson, whereas the latter of the two is easier to pick a winner, Conteh / Galindez is less so, the sharp shooting, box fighter of the Aumahda fight would I feel give Galindez a boxing lesson,he was something special at that stage, cuts aside, mainly Galindez side, can envisage a gruelling 15 rounder, with Victor bruised and battered at the conclusion, mind you Conteh would not come out unscathed .
Good match up FT, stay safe budy, chat soon.

Galindez was past it already, Johnson was too but Galindez's prime engine and such just left faster than how the pops did.

The problem w/ trying to assess a "prime" Conteh is that he arguably didn't have 1 - the younger, 2-handed Conteh hadn't yet fully developed the defensive prowess & savvy that we later saw from the older, 1-handed Conteh IMO. Ahumada was able to close the gap & draw him into a trench war throughout their title match, & I think Galindez would've been able to do the same. Under those circumstances, I'd make this a 50-50 fight or perhaps even give Galindez the slightest of edges.

Lopez was far more than just a "fringe" contender, & Galindez was either fading or (in the case of Johnson) outright shot for the 4 fights you listed. His best years were around 74 thru 76, after which weight-making & injuries took a visible toll on him. This fight was Galindez's best & last truly prime performance IMO:

Would be a rugged, sometimes dirty fight with both men taking a lot of punishment. However John's superior skillset sees him through to a competitive albeit clear points verdict.

Lopez did well boxing with Galindez behind the jab and i thought he deserved to win one of their encounters.

A prime Conteh has a better jab than Lopez and is at a slightly higher level at his peak so i'd go with Conteh by decision.
