Galindez didn't exactly frontline big ko power, but he had those short, whistling, really hard counterpunches, as displayed in the Ahumada defense...Don Dunphy pointed out how hard those shots of his were. Also, as shown in the Eddie Mustafa bout, in that early round when Eddie hurt him with a body shot (and man, could he ever hurt you with a body shot @jowcol) Victor instantly landed a short, hard right hand counter and put Mustafa on his ass. Victor was very strong, and those short, fast, hard counter hooks could hurt you bad.

This says it all. Moorer never beat anyone at 175...never fought anyone at that weight, remotely like Galindez.

Moorer not being proven at the weight doesn't mean he can't win this fight however. Most boxers were unproven up until the point they were given the opportunity to step up and prove themselves.

Moorer may have turned out to be an ATG at 175 but we will never know one way or another. His exploits at Heavyweight are extremely impressive for a guy that came from 175. There's a big chance he was much much more formidable at 175. There's also a chance he wasn't as we don't have a lot to go on.

The safe money is definitely on Galindez, he is a proven and known performer that we can safely categorize. We can't with Moorer.

The better argument can be put forward for Victor but it's not totally foolproof. It's the stronger one for sure tho.
