Yep. But he would have walked away with a win, increased marketability and respect if he'd fought on. He'd still be a viable challenger for Canelo in the future. Not saying he should have, he keeps getting second chances. But at some point people will realize this guy is a lot more miss than hit.
I heard the broken jaw is pretty bad. My thoughts and prayers go out to Vic. The kid fought till the end. Much respect.
I think some people here a missing certain implications with a broken jaw. If it's broken and ur having it repeatedly smacked: 1. Its going to seriously hurt 2. It might well become irreparably damaged, meaning career over. Regardless of what he did against Mayweather and Maidana, a broken jaw is a broken jaw. Even if he came out and said "yea I quit against May and Maidana, couldnt be bothered really," it still doesnt deter from the fact that a broken jaw is gruesome!!!
Well hes right, Victor did the smart thing but a lot of other fighters had too much pride to lose. Having no class would be staring at the back of someones head and throwing a punch at it . . . I dont blame him if hes a little pissed off
ortiz was owned by a junior welter 2 weeks notice replacement fighter. and tweetybi/rd actually fought him?
Ortiz was a cheating dirty fighting ****wad this whole fight so I don't see how some of you ***s like the OP are coming off all bleeding heart for him.
