Walter "Nonstop" Saragosa is a Hawaiian southpaw who campaigns in several combat sport disciplines and basically takes fights on short notice to lose quickly in all of them (pro MMA, boxing, and jiu-jitsu).

True to form, he doesn't escape the 1st round with the Armenian-Californian prospect, who improves to 2-0 with two stoppages - down with the first power shot thrown up top and waved off with the second knockdown moments later with a right uppercut on the body.

 

22 years old, looks decent enough, in alright nick at 5'10", but...he's going to need a much better nickname than "Avo".

 

Brook Lizbeth Sibrián vs. Ángeles Rubí Gutiérrez Salinas, 6x2" rounds @ light flyweight

 

Rubí Gutiérrez is the daughter of Mexican southpaw and several-time world title challenger María "La Polvorita" del Carmen Salinas Corpus.

Sibrián is a protégé of Román "Chocolatito" González.

 

The commentator sounded offended at going online and discovering that Gutiérrez was a 10/1 underdog after round 1 (as she probably won the opener) - but the class, power and endurance of Sibrián is beginning to show. Hard punches in bunches for the full two minutes of R3, giving her a dominant second frame in a row.

 

They are 5'1" and 5′ 1½″ - I could juggle these hoes.

The promoter is paying for a year of free therapy for everyone competing on the card as part of something called "Athletes For Hope". They're playing a video narrated by Alonzo Mourning on the jumbotron (and DAZN feed). Huh.

 

Ricardo Ruvalcaba vs. Luis Alberto Verón, 8 rounds @ welterweight

 

This will be Argentinian journeyman Verón's eighth unbeaten (but not debuting) opponent. He is 1-6 against them in his career.

Ruvalcaba is a six foot tall welterweight Wild Card product with ten knockouts in his 13 wins, and one draw.

 

Verón has only been stopped thrice in 32 bouts - but that includes his last two in a row, and all came within his last six outings.
