Dan Rafael just tweeted: IBF won't sanction Victor Ortiz to challenge Carlos Molina so that fight is off the 12/14 @SHOsports PPV @GoldenBoyBoxing card. #boxing

    This sucks.

    That's not a big loss.

    Now make Khan-Ortiz.

Understanable. He is unraked at the weight afterall.

He barely has a welterweight ranking.

    Unranked and uninitiated.

The exact welter limit, and not an ounce above it, was his career high and he only hit it once.

That sucks, I was looking forward to seeing Ortiz back in the ring. Love him or hate him he's always in exciting fights.

Good I'm glad it's off. Bad fight for Ortiz. Molina is akward and frustrating Victor hasnt fought in what feels like 2 years and it would be a move up in weight. Was GBP trying to get Victor beat?

True but that alone didn't mean he deserved a title shot first thing in a division he never previously competed at even once in his life...and coming off two losses and eighteen months of inactivity to boot.

Yeah the title shot was garbage but I'd rather have him a title holder than Molina who's nothing but a spoiler.

thats good because he doesnt deserve a title shot @ any weight right now. doesnt mean we wont see him on the card tho. GB would rather take molina off (whos unknown) and leave Ortiz because he willl help sell more ppv

yet the IBF sanctioned Froch vs Yusaf Mack at 168 . Mack was a light heavyweight that wasnt even in the top 20 in that division....

so actually its not understandable why they wouldnt sanction this..... :-(

Wasn't Ortiz in line for a shot at Canelo if he won the Josesito Lopez fight?

**** it, put him in with K9, he'd take it on short notice. Yeah the fight would suck but K9 deserves a chance to get his strap back
