Oh yeh! If amatuers mean **** why are the top amatuers scouted by the promoters? And why is it that most the worlds top amatuers and olympic medalist are also at the top of the game eventually when they pros.
Yeah but regardless it wasnt just a points victory, Khan stopped Ortiz in the 2nd round. The only prospect better than Khan is Gamboa.
Did I say it was yesterday ?:rofl ****** you little too slow or what, I said Jnr. Championship and that would mean they would be around 16!!! I didnt say it meant the ****ing world either. Chill!
So if they were so young, how is it even relevant? Especially considering all the **** Ortiz went through at that age. I can't imagine he was entirely focused on boxing.
In amateur boxing a fight can be stopped very quickly after just a lucky punch. Pro boxing is very different. There are also many factors I don't really know. Like what kind of experience this 2 fighters had at the time they fought. Which is also my point when talking about Gamboa. Gamboa is very strong and comes from a excellent boxing school. But he also has at least double the experience of the fighters he has been facing. The guy is a veteran. Regarding to Ortiz 5rds KO victory last night I have to say anybody can be knockdown by a good punch. Cotto and Tito Trinidad both come to my mind. But he did what he had to do to win. That is the good thing. The bad thing is he was fighting a guy who had loss 10 out of his last 12 fights. SO I guess we will have to wait and see.
