Alot of esb users on here are huge fans of Mayweather, Ward, K2 bro's, Pacman etc. but I think it's brave to back or be a fan of a fighter such as Victor who isn't the finished article. One thing you can say about Victor is he is never in a boring fight. People will still watch him fight.

I think he can bounce back after he rehabilitates from his operation. Let's say Victor retires; where are all the exciting fighters at? Mayweather and Manny will retire in a year or two. Canelo and JCC Jr.; overated and overprotected? They gonna be the faces of boxing? Or is it Ward who is following the Roy Jones mantra? Timid Timmy will get shoved down our throats by Bob Arum; he is no superstar. Khan is gonna retire at 28 after he gets his paycheck and ass whooping from Floyd.

The strange thing here is people argue that refs and corners are sometimes too slow to stop a fight. Who has the best information? Obviously the boxer. Ortiz initially took more heat because of his past. If he was staggering around no one would have been upset. But let's be honest. If he really did get it broken in round 5/6 he showed he couldn't keep Lopez from touching it though.
