A lot has been made of Ortiz not wanting to continue fighting this past Saturday night, due to a broken jaw he suffered early in the fight. My question is simple is it his head or heart that's his biggest problem? Personally I think it's his head, but what do you think?

Glass brain, without a doubt. He has some heart, he showed that against Berto. Just makes incredible stupid decisions in the ring. From his point of view, he's already got a few losses on his resume so another isn't a big deal, he's young and can work his way back up again. I guess he's thinking there's no point ending up seriously damaged in a fight like that when he's still got a relatively long future in the game. Most fighters would have too much pride to quit like that, but I suppose he thought he was doing the wise thing. :huh

i dont think there was anybody in his corner who was saying something along the lines "it's ok vic you have this fight won on the cards, it's only an extra 9 mins. just run kid, and keep covered." "you've got a broken jaw however you slice it, if you quit now you still have it. stopping this now wont repair your jaw. its done it's happend now lets gets back to the backfoot"

he looked like he was the head of his own corner. and in his own mind made the "smart decision"

His head is definitely his main liability. Not entirely sure about his heart, though.

Mind you, the two aren't exactly mutally exclusive.

Try bad luck. Sucker punched then broke jaw. Tough last year for him

A lot of boxers may have done the same thing, Quitali for example.
