    Check out 13 year old National Champion, Victor Bravo, at 98 pounds. From Bad Boyz Boxing Club Garden City, Kansas.

    Victor is out of the red corner and wearing the red, white and blue headgear.

    He has got great boxing ability and skills but you need a champion's heart to be great. Doesn't mean he can't bounce back from the Maidana thing. He is young. So I think we need to cut him some slack. But quite a way to being great. Perhaps one day.

    I've yet to notice anybody noteworthy calling him "great" but maybe I wasn't paying attention. I don't think he's proved to be more than a good fighter but whatever.

    You can doubt Otiz's mental touhgness but not his skills. Great may be a stretch because of his heart however. .

    If that guy is such a badass, why is he duckin Jr. from Wichita, KS?

    Jr. would knock him out. Jr. is real mother ****in warrior. People are duckin him in Wichita, and I never heard of your man.

    Who is Jr ???? Funny that you would say this because it is next to impossible to get fights for Victor. I have had several fighters from other teams leave the arena after they have been matched with him. The kid absolutely has no fear and will fight anyone.

    He drove me nuts in this fight. He kept rushing straight in and not using his jab and straight right hand. He can bang with both. He just wanted to knock the kid out. He won but it was one of his sloppier fight. The kid got under his skin and it showed.

    How long have you had him?
    I don't know if it was mostly nerves and being irritated with his opponent, but his right hand kept jittering out of position and was telegraphing a bit.

    Edit: YouTube was stuttering on me and every time I saw "Victor Bravo" in the upper left corner, I kept thinking it was some weird banner in the National Guard building. :lol:

    He is 13 and been training for 5 years. He let this kid and his corner get under his skin and it showed. He wanted to take this kid's head off. I have been working with him on setting up his punches and not just rushing in. He is a hyper kid by nature. He reminds me of a young Brandon Rios. He will be a champ one day if he sticks with it. Tough kid he regularly spars fighters 30 to 40 pounds heavier than him. He will get in the ring with anyone. The kid loves to fight. He is a hoot to hang out with.

    Victor Bravo is the kid who wants run an extra mile or spar another round. He will work mitts with me for 2 hours straight if I let him. He is a trainer's dream.
