Ortiz looks very big cant believe he was fighting at 140 not so long ago! He wasn't ducking under Garcia's hooks when they was doing the mitts, Garcia seemed to be just bringing them round his head so not to force him to duck - weird??!
Looked like he was working more on footwork and turning angles.. Which he will def need.. He looked faster on the mits.
This is just working out. No special moves. No special tricks. Nothing to suggest he would beat Floyd even though in his mind he is thinking 'wow, look how hard I'm working, I must be winning this fight' When Floyd fights, he brings his full bag of tricks. Others just train harder and thats about it.
I don't think Ortiz is slow, but rather Mayweather is just too damn fast for Victor......Making this a mistmatch.
Glad that some people are starting to see thru this "young hungry lion" BS. Look I like Vic as much as anyone, he's gonna be plenty of fun to watch & root for over the next 5-8 years (if Mayweather doesn't completely break him), but anyone who watches boxing knows that this is an utter mis-match of the highest order.
Ortiz looks terrible when he's working out. I can't believe this fight is happening and that he's considered a top fighter.
Not the most impressive workout of a boxer going up against Mayweather I've ever seen. Didn't look particularly quick, in fact, I thought Pacquiao looks faster now than what Ortiz is at the moment...scary. Footwork didn't look great either, chin looked to be over his knee a lot...Mayweather will eat that up. Big difference between training and fight night though. They looked like they were working on maybe trying to block certain Mayweather shots, and coming back with 3-4 punch combo's...good look with that, reflexes will need to be spot on.
What's with the 'looks slow' stuff? :huh It's a media day, these are not live sessions as boxers don't give away their best when the opposition can get footage. It's light media show-off, come fight night and weight I expect him to be just as fast as usual, which is very fast.
