i believe he could have gotten up after being "KO'd". i think he attempted to try to get Floyd DQ'd, but not knowing that time was called in. or he just was too embarrassed and didn't want to continue. plus Floyd was mad as **** and he probably knew an ass whooping was coming.
Other than the fact most of that interview was lies, notice his behaviour when he says the guy he beat up was a 6'4 quaterback classic liar.

Floyd can generate some power by combining proper technique and speed, and then landing right on Ortiz's unprotected chin. Ortiz was not going to make it up on steady legs.
