he's right maidanas a none entity in world class boxing, i dont see the buzz around this guy, his power is inflated and he gases every time he gets off with his shots,he's also very dirty hitting on the breaks, rabbit punching and using his head, an old ass eric morales had his number, and a glass jawed armature fighter called ameer king khan took the whole artillery barrage and smiled back, says everything really. Bradley would likely stop him IMHO inside 3 rounds with little problems

 

He's a non-entity but he still beat Ortiz and only has two lose losses on his ledger to Kotelnik (debatable) and the Khan fight which could have been stopped.

There needs to be a rematch of this one, I think Maidana struggles with the weight at 140 anyway and should consider moving up.

Victor is nowhere near as complete a fighter as Acosta. He's sloppy, inaccurate and poor at maintaining distance. He smothers his own work and doesn't use his jab enough to get his shots off.

I wouldn't assume because Acosta did such a great job in the early going that Ortiz, who's nothing like him, will.

 

Maidana has done alot more after the Ortiz fight compared to Prescott after the Khan fight. Prescott even lost to Kevin Mitchell

 

Comparing Khan/Prescott to Ortiz/Maidana is ******ed
Prescott was/is a nobody in the division (he lost to mitchell ffs) and caught him cold.
Maidana was/is a force in the division with his only losses to Khan and Kotelnik (controversial) both title holders who made him quit on his stool.

Maidana is infinitely more worthy of a rematch beating Berto doesnt make anyone an elite fighter. As Beeston said many people saw it coming and his string of nobodies he fought for stupid money was never gonna help anything.
