Matthew would get beat obviously, but again he would have the chance to earn decent money and another chance to fight for a world title Cant see why anyone is suggesting Hatton should fight Watson after Watson got KO'd on saturday night, seems like a big step backwards to me
Every chance it gets made as well with Golden Boy and Hatton close. Only one winner but why not, lot worse fights out there, although Hatton lost every round against Alvarez it was at light middle (almost) and we know Matthew will give it everything. Surely they won't want Ortiz to have another war in his first defence so Hatton would make all kinds of sense really, good shout.
Don't know man tbh .Punchers Ortiz's been in with (Maidana Berto) . I would fear for Hatton in this fight man to get knocked out .He's got heart .Got up against that Euro fighter in the 1st round to come back but Ortiz Maidana and Berto ( knockdown after knockdown ) Just seem to be a different level man .
It'd be interesting to see how much heart Hatton could have in this man .Ortiz Maidana's and Berto's man .Has Hatton got the power though to drop Ortiz ( doubt it ) He could maybe try and out box him but I think Ortiz would just be too big and strong .
If Ortiz is going to have a marking time fight he should get his mandatory agaisnt Selcuk Aydin out of the way. I think Hatton vs M'Baye WBA interim is close anyway.
Agree with this hard accurate shots would hurt Matt much more than Alvarez's wild swings. A disciplined gritty Ortiz does the business impressively.
Could well happen but can't see Hatton lasting the 12. Easy fight for Ortiz before the talked about rematch between Victor and Berto at the end of the year.
I'd like to see him use that advantage and fight the Welters. I imagine he'd still have enough for Alvarez. Great fight though. Would prefer to see Saul drag himself down to Welter if he can.
GOlden boy would be keen on this, they probably see Mad Mat Hatton as a straightforward 1st defence. Maybe he wants a hometown warmup 1st before meeting Ortiz towards the end of the year?
