And who has Khan beat??? Even though Ortiz lost to Maidana as a result of a cut, he wasn't KTFO by a journeyman Presscott. Ortiz is leagues better than Presscott. Ortiz has some solid wins, as does Khan, I'd say their resumes are fairly similar giving the edge easily to Ortiz for his win over undefeated champion Andre Berto.
Khan sucks fighting off the back foot and Ortiz will come forward and make him do just that. Khan has no Chin, none, and Ortiz has loads of power. While I'm loathe to ever pick Ortiz because of his pathetic Glass Heart and his own shaky whiskers, I will pick him over Khan because the odds of Ortiz landing heavy at least once are high and Khan can't stand up to that sort of power. I'm thinking that this never happens, however, because Ortiz is going to get raped by Money and he'll probably decide that he's too young to take beatings like that, and for good this time.
Ortiz is too strong, too aggressive, and would gas Khan out. I think Khan would have success early, but as the fight went on Ortiz stops him.
Is that based on Ortiz ONE fight at 147 Come on guys it was only a fight ago he had a draw with Peterson hahahahaha now he can beat the world! Some time people on this website show how young they are. Its like a kid swapping his favourate football team every week for whoever is currently winning hahahahahaha. Khan will be a different beast at 147! If he makes 10% of the improvements Ortiz make by going up in weight he beats Ortiz every day of the week! And the chin comments crack me up!!!!!! how many times has Ortiz been down in his last 3 fights? think we have said enough on that subject! :hi:
tbh its a toss up, ortiz's attitude has changed 360 degrees and he's left the shell shock mode of the maidana fight, he'll come to khan and throw bombs and wont have a care in the world what returns his way but Khan could be an even better fighter at 147, he could end up packing a bigger dig at that weight. fun fight if it ever happens
Khan wouldn't be able to win against tight, smart pressure like Ortiz brings. He's fast, has a hard punch, a good size, and can set up his shots while closing the distance. Khan is a great boxer but he hasn't shown the ability to compete with that kind of well-rounded talent behind a varied relentless attack. In a year or two, the story might change.
