They want Ortiz for Canelo, just as originally planned. That would be some good exposure for Canelo, since Victor has been on TV. Casual fans should be watching. :)

    What? :blood

After he got maneuvered into maybe the least deserved world title in boxing history by Don King?

Would you like to see John Ruiz suspend his retirement and get a payday against Klitschko, too? :huh

  3. That wasn't K9s fault. I like Bundrage and I like to see him get paid too. Even if it's not the most deserved title shot ever.

(Don't get me wrong, I'd rather see the best fights that can be made)

K9 won't be able to land his power against Ortiz. It's a fairly entertaining fight, but I'll favor Ortiz by wide decision.

Good welcome back fight for Ortiz.

Ortiz is on dancing with the stars..a May fight seems unlikely.

One thing for sure we can all agree on tho is...
    Should this fight happen

IF Vic can't beat K-9 it is time to hang 'em up.
(No offense to Bundrage, Just sayin')

DO you guys think that golden boy got the power to meet K9's demands ? Seems like a tall order to me

Also 300 k seems a bit on the low side after taxes payroll and miscellaneous expenditures he's probable looking at a take home of just under a 100 k the reason I say a bit low is cause if he loses this fight he will never get another decent pay day so IMHO if your going to take a risky do or die fight at the end of you career you should try and negotiate for some **** YOU $ ie. a nest egg just my opinion any thoughts?

Ortiz couldnt handle Lopez at 147 . . . . this is a terrible move by GBP if true

If I was GBP id match Ortiz up with Soto Karass at 147 then gun for a rematch with Maidana for the WBA spot to take on the winner of Malignaggi/Broner

Ortiz V Soto Karass would make for a good fight on an undercard bout
Ortiz V Maidana 2 would bring in interest as the first fight was a FOTY candidate
Ortiz/Maidana vs Broner would be a good fight also to build up Broners profile at 147

Exactly why I thought it was a terrible move

Bundrage doesnt exactly have a large fan base and despite not being the best technician he can still hit hard especially against a former junior welterweight at 154.

As for the winner taking on Molina (which i doubt Ortiz would get to) Molina is a spoiler and would make the fight ugly especially against someone with Ortiz's mentality who has been known to fight dirty

Then the winner taking on Ishe Smith? again Smith has the same fan base as Bundrage, Casual fans wouldnt be interested in this

    Ortiz - Bundrage - Molina - Smith at 154
    Ortiz - Karass - Maidana - Broner at 147

Tell me which 3 would make more money and would be more fan friendly?

Karass - Tough Brawler and Limited Boxing skills
Maidana - same as above and holds a win over Ortiz in a FOTY candidate
Broner - Next P4P star supposedly and would set him up to take on Mayweather

    This.

He's totally still on Dancing with the Stars. Unless he quits? Which would just be too funny for boxing fans. Although I'd take Ortiz/Bundrage over Ortiz/DWTS.

Not coming back til the fall, I don't believe. It'd be 8 weeks away and Ortiz is on a TV show plus doesn't yet have a trainer.

Ortiz wont take it. He needs some softer touches first. His jaw was.nearly.ripped clean off and im sure his mental state is a bit shakey as well.
