    Nice Soto start. Takes some hard shots later on, showing a good chain at least. Soto appears much sharper. I get the feeling Matthyse body shots are hurting him, he keeps backing off. Nice round for Soto, he landed consistantly. Matthyse really needs to get after him and throw 3-4 shots to the body, not just 1. 10-9 Soto

    Matthyse is one of the most underrated boxers today, thanks in large part to questionable judging.
    Also sotos got some kind of chin.

    Matthysse jabs the body and backs Soto nearly to the ropes. Soto comes forward and takes a few more trickling jabs on the belt line and backs straight up - BIG LEFT HOOK TO THE JAW BY MATTHYSSE!! Soto has to hold on!! Soto shoeshines to the body, leaning forward and sliding down off Matthysse's chest. Lead rights by Soto, jabbing over the right hand through the opening it creates in Matthysse's guard. Body shots by Matthysse, hard and heavy. Clinch. Soto is trying to smother Matthysse on the inside, and tap back to the body. Big chopping right by Matthysse to get off the ropes as Soto tries to pin him there. Another chopping right to the ear. Big left hook to the nose of Soto, which is now reddening, and he moves forward to hold, clasping Matthysse tight. Big right uppercut stepping in by Matthysse. Left hook to the body by Matthysse. Soto is breathing through his mouth. Big chopping shots by Matthysse. Soto tries to tie up but Matthysse lands a stiff right forearm to the face and backs him out. BIG OVERHAND RIGHT!! SOTO HURT!! STUMBLING BACK TO THE ROPES! DOWN!!!

    I have it 2-2. I can see 4-0 or 3-0 for Soto based on volume but I'm crediting the quality of Matthysse's punching in rounds 3 & 4.

    Matthysse stuns Soto with a great left. Soto throwing quick combos, but not having much effect. Huge left counter by Mattysse that hurt Soto. HUGE right hand at the bell.
