This is just a rumor, of a possibility as of now, but figured I'd bring it up anyways since there is alot of debate as of what is thought would happen the second time around.

My opinion will go one of two ways, depending on if Maidana wins or loses this coming December to Khan.

IF Maidana pulls off a win against Khan, I would have to think Maidana's skillset has ascended since his upset over Victor, and would have to say, Maidana Tko11 Ortiz.

IF Maidana loses to Khan, depending on how he looked in the loss, more than likely I would lean towards a, Ortiz UD Maidana call.

Also keep in mind, my thought process here is assuming Ortiz stays on the winning track.

    Type it out.

Whether he has improved or not Ortiz's new style means he will have a better time against Maidana. He is much more cautious. His footwork is good enough to avoid Maidana's rushes. To me its a question of Maidana's conditioning and if he can keep pressuring Ortiz without being countered to death. Apart from in his last fight his conditioning has never been in question. Ortiz by UD or if he hurts Maidana he could finish him but I fancy a distance win. Mabye I'm underating Maidana but I think Ortiz's new style works well.

Glass heart isn't going back in there with the guy who shattered his spirit any time soon. They've put too much money into this hypejob to let him get laid out on the canvas before milking him some more first.

That said, put me down for Maidana by KO, and not because Maidana is that great. It's based on the cheap lawn chair he'd be in the ring with. Easyfold.

The fight has to happen. If Ortiz has any kind of balls he must be desperate to avenge that loss. Surely he knows he fought a dumb fight and that Maidana could be outboxed with a sensible strategy.

Ortiz KO's him no matter what happens in the Khan fight.

Maidana wins today, tommorow or next year. Ortiz hasn't show me anything that could change my mind. The rights are still landing, and Maidana will beat him again if it happens.

If Maidana wins against Khan I think he will fight Bradley or Alexander, not Ortiz. If Maidana loses against Khan the rematch with Ortiz is more possible imo.
