THe jury is still out... I mean so far it looks like Ortiz would probably ko him at welter.. And maybe even JW but you have the give it to Hatton there.

To early to tell were probably not evn halfway thru the Ortiz book yet... He could end being an elite fighter and pull of the huge upset over Mayweatehe, or he might lose to bad to Mayweather and end up just being a perenial contender..Never know if Mayweather does a number on him he might not ever be the same.

Dosent matter if the jury is still out , Ortiz is too big to go back down to light welter, so that match up can be debated.

I really think after Pacquaio, Hatton is underrated at JWW. He could bully the majority of his opponents, and bang to the body. People also under-rate his hand and footspeed.
Welterweight was never a comftorble fit, but I see a prime Hatton at or close to the top of the current division.

JWW = Hatton beats a weight-drained Ortiz into submission.
WW = Ortiz is actually the stronger of the two, Hatton walks on to too many and gets stopped late.

good post and agree:good hatton was at worst the second best junior welter of the last decade but he's treated like **** on the forum since he retired

At 140, Hatton molests him. Just beats him down and stops him in 8, max.

At 147, I don't know. Victor looks to have improved in his hop up, and Hatton lost most of his world class mojo fighting the bigger fighters. I'd say Victor gets a couple KD's early, and the fight goes the distance to a close result, possibly with Ortiz going down to balance at some point.
