"in the third and fourth round when Ortiz attacked I think Mayweather got rattled, if Ortiz didnt get knocked out and the fight went into the the 7th and 8th rounds Mayweather could have been in trouble"

After 4 rounds of Mayweather Castillo 1, Mayweather was up 4 rounds to 0 against Castillo even on Lederman's card. At the end of the fight, Lederman had Castillo winning. Not saying Ortiz would've done that but just saying, the fight playing out is important.

Here's a slow-mo replay of that particular GIF...

Ortiz was a lot more succesful in that sequence than he's given credit for. The left hand was not blocked. It got around Floyd's glove and landed square on his chin. You can tell the punch landed by his reaction to the punch. Ortiz then follows up with a left hand that is blocked and a right, left combo that sneaks past Floyd's guard. Floyd rolled with the right hook a bit, but took the left hand straight on. The following punches don't connect, excluding the illegal shot to Floyd's back.

What the **** are you talking about Floyd slipped all that ****
He landed five shots in that sequence clean shots, again I beleive this is why we got that cheap shot, Floyd felt the power of a kid who weighed 164 in this fight he didnt want to find out how this fight would play out in the later rounds, I also beleive Floyd didnt give a **** if time was in or not that he would have taken the DQ and been perfectly okay cus he knows his fans will use the headbutt as an excuse

Actually he did. Only punch after the right hook that really landed was the short, straight left after Mayweather blocked a right hook. And that didn't exactly have a lot of power behind it. Ortiz was not set properly, it was an arm punch.

He landed 2 punches cleanly out of all that.

What punches did he land Bazooka? The right hook to Mayweather's back? We know you're a stupid ass troll, but seriously, nothing really landed clean except those 2 punches. Your idiotic response still has not pointed to the punches that landed.

No wonder you can't train your son for ****! LOL -- Seriously, get your son a real trainer who knows what the **** is going on. If you really love your son, and want to avoid him getting his ass kicked in the ring, I suggest you find somebody who knows what they are doing.

Here is a fact: Ortiz was landing 6.5 punches per round. That ain't ****. Spin it however you want ******.

He landed more than Castillo did in the first round of their fight and look how that turned out? Again, I'm not saying this fight plays out that way but we as fans do deserved to know how it would've played out. How many people knew before hand and after the 4th round that Castillo would put up such a fight?

Floyd Upper, ORtiz fight hook left hand around Floyds right glove, then on the ropes Ortiz landed a right hook that put Floyd on the ropes and threaded through a straight letft splitting Mayweathers glove just before the final right hook that went towards Floyds body and missed

and regarding my son, we have done very well you can talk all the **** you want, but its nothing more than Hating on Bazooka because Bazooka knows boxing

Castillo is leagues above in class than Ortiz. Not to mention Castillo was not known for breaking down mentally like Ortiz.

I mean it's really clear as day to any objective boxing fan who's watched the sport for a long time: Ortiz was going to get knocked out and Ortiz was looking for a way out of the ring.

I've been watching boxing a solid 25 years btw.

The statitistic do look off in my opinion, but I haven't actually sat back and analyzed them.

However, I did watch the fight.

And I saw Mayweather missing a lot of his punches, but landing his right cross pretty regularly. His workrate was also much higher than Ortiz' and he began to let off the body attack a little and stuck with the success he was having with his right hand to the head, occasionaly followed by a left hook.

I also saw Ortiz land several straight left hands to the body that appeared to be hard and there is no telling how effective they would be down the stretch.

If Ortiz could eat Mayweather's right hands to the head all night, Mayweather would have to go more to Ortiz body, and this would require him to expend more energy and leave him open for Ortiz' offensive attack.

I think Mayweather was uncomfortable in there with Ortiz and had doubts about his ability to hurt Ortiz with his punches, so when the opportunity came to hit him as hard as he could, he took it.

Mayweather probably would have won the fight, but the fight was exciting while it lasted, and Mayweather WAS getting hit with some hard punches even if it was indicated that only 20% landed.

The right hand around the glove didn't land sucka. It went right in front of Mayweather's face.

The early left hook was blocked.

All in all, Victor threw a lot of punches and didn't land much. And you know it. If you think he was going to "come on strong" you really are a blind ****. Mayweather outlanded Victor 22 to 8 in power punches before the headbutt.

Yeah Compubox is 100% accurate right? I mean they said Floyd landed 13 power shots in round two....

Show me where Floyd threw 13 power shots in that round much less landing 13 power shots
