no he didn't. maidana tried for the rematch as fighting victor ortiz would mean big payday, golden boy didn't want it.
??? ok, I was obviously talking about the time up until he got dropped.. That was the last thing he expected to happen. Look I don't know what your agenda is, but you clearly can't deny that Ortiz has great chance to beat all the top guys at JWW. I just want to see him in the mix again to add another great fighter to the already great division. The reason this 140 division is so exciting is because all the guys match well and have the skills to beat one another. Ones flaw is the others strength. They all have a vulnerability to them. Bradly being the favorite to continue his reign. Lighten up man. Sit back and enjoy the show. Stop hating on fighters. They all deserve our repect for putting their life on the line to entertain us. If you have ever laced them up yourself, you should definantly understand that.
I have no agenda, and Im a big fan of boxing, but until he prove that he can go all the way with a warrior and overcome any kind of adversity, he is a quitter, the first time someone hit him back, he said I don't want to play anymore, I want to go home, now you expect me to beleive he is another man, because he beat up on an old and past his prime boxer, no, he has to do it aginst a live body with a chance to beat him, and more important, what is he is going to do do when he gets hit real hard, by a good puncher like Khan, Prescott or Maidana. I wish him well, but a victory over Harris doesn't mean a thing, maybe I had being unfair to the kid, but I just rebuting his fans posts, which imo are a little too cocky, for this kind of victory.
Man you are buying to much into this Harris fight. He was there to build Ortizs stock, and confidence, back up, nothing more. It wasn't a fight to have him tested and pushed to the limit. Those fights are next. And I already explained to you that I was basing my opinion of his chances to compete with the top of the division based on his fighting attributes. We don't know how he is going to respond, but you don't even give him a chance, and are already writing him off. At least let him try. I'm not saying he can beat these guys, but I damn sure wanna see him try.
Ortiz was very, very sharp last night. The question mark was and still is how he will respond in an all out war.
Ortiz looked Vicious for the first time since his KO loss. I say 2 more solid fights and he's ready for the best.
He has always looked sharp, even in his loss. But the latter is the question.. Has he learned anything? We will see..:good
And yes, because of this fight you putting him outhere again, making him the favor against Maidana and any other top JWW, you r the one that's buying too much into this fight, not me, I had only post the obvious, that is all, he beat harris, and he is ready for the top echelon, common that wasn't me talking, I'm the one saying he ain't ready yet.
Out of all the fighters at 140, I actually think Vic has the potential, skills, and style to be the top dog. Since the Maidana loss he has gotten a great deal of deserved flack but he is still a very dangerous contender. Out of all the big names here i think he has a better chance of beating Khan in particular than anyone else- he has the combination of skills, speed, and power to destroy him.
