12. Brandon Figueroa is in a 10 rounder. You’d assume he would get bumped up to main event. Or it’s not unreasonable to think Ortiz will still headline. Innocent until proven guilty and all that.
I think Ortiz has been one of the worlds biggest underachievers given his early progress and skill set. I thought he was going to be elite rather than a top contender. Had great power, speed and decent head movement, but lacked a great chin, boxing IQ and of course, very low heart / will to win.
His fight with Maidana was absolutely brilliant. I recommend that to anyone who have either forgotten it or it just went under their radar at the time. It’s knockdown’s galore.
