.......Lost to Khan in the amatuers.

Seriosuly though, I like what I see. He won't be a top ten pound for pounder, but you never know.

Amir Khan absolutely hammered Ortiz in the final of the Junior Olympics.KO2. I think that gives you some idea of just how good a prospect Khan is, because Ortiz is bloody good himself!!

Amateurs are NOT the pros. See Cotto-Abdullev for this.

Did Abdullev obliterate Cotto is the amateurs? I honest don't know, but I STRONGLY SUSPECT he merely outpointed him, which given the scoring methods used in am boxing, is completely different. Getting KTFO is getting KTFO irregardless of am or pro!!

i feel'ya man....but you can already tell by styles alone that ortiz was meant for the pro's, khan is still a bit ameaturish......

that would be an awesome fight though...

    :good

Khan's still standing upright throwing them straights, Ortiz is working on an arsenal including some mean work on the inside. Also, Ortiz seems to be physically bigger at the moment so couldnt see the two matching up for a while.

I serioiusly rate Ortiz and think he could really make waves. Think he'd probably be better staying at LWW than moving up though!

The crazy part is I'm from Oxnard and haven't heard much about him.
Defo does not generate the buzz a Robert Garcia or a Fernado Vargas made coming up.

    Yet?
    Potential is defo there.

That surprises me, I really like him!

Although Manny Steward has given him the kiss of death though - I'm sure he called him the best prospect around. He's now bound to get KO'd next bout!
