I'd be willing to let the loss to Josesito Lopez go (because of the jaw injury) if he hadn't been destroyed by Collazo.

But I'll tell you what. Ortiz did put up a good fight against Mayweather. And he did tag Floyd quite a bit. And Mayweather did win with a cheap shot. Ortiz should've kept his hands up ... but it was a dirty move.

If he wrote that immediately after losing to Mayweather, I could see his point. And I'd agree he deserved another shot. But he's looked terrible since. So there's really no point.

If Ortiz had any interest in getting back in the sport, he should get back in the ring with Andre Berto first. I'd like to see a rematch of that Fight of the Year. If he won, he could fight Thurman.

But it sounds like he's moved on to making movies.

He was always kind of a flaky guy to begin with. But his article was fine. And Mayweather-Ortiz was the last Mayweather fight I found remotely interesting to watch and probably the only one I'd watch again from beginning to end. It was a fun night.

Khan put this guy in his place back in 2003.

Amazing how many times he managed to get his hype train rolling again. Maidana then Floyd before finally Lopez literally shattered his jaw into retirement.

He puts on exciting fights, though. And he's got a win over Berto and a draw with Lamont Peterson. And his losses to Mayweather, Maidana, Lopez ... those were all really exciting fights.

He may be delusional and crazy and all that ... but Victor Ortiz is the perfect TV fighter. You either like him or hate him, he hits really hard and he's got a bad chin.

    Makes for great television.

:yepAnd his last fight was also fun to watch.
That Peterson draw was a robbery tbh. Ortiz deserved that one.

Crazy thing is that Ortiz is only 28.
