I remember many years ago in the Golden Gloves Ft Worth tornament the ref called the boxers into ring to touch gloves when the bell rang one held his hands out to do so the other lambasted him broke his nose. Ref was forced by rules to award the coward a KO win
The next night he had to fight again Ive never heard a crowd cheer as much as when he got a well deserved thrashing. His opponent was the guy he ambushed best buddy. The ref looked the other way as the kid beat on him & beat on him but not knocking him out. The coward never boxed again

Ortiz is a joker a shadow of himself that boy was head butting from round 1,
    And got dirty
What he thought was and elbow was a counter right it was just too quick and stung so hard it felt like and elbow,he lost his hart when he knew the counters were coming and the writing was on the wall, like he does when things ain't going right for he gives up,he ain't and true Mexican warrior he's a plastic version,he best pick another b+ fighter coz nobody is in interested in the rematch he best go back to acting

ortiz was actually having success at hitting floyd. he had the skill, size, and power and was constantly pressuring floyd to fight. so if that's what happen i can understand. floyd had all the advantages and still had to make those cheap shots and illegal moves. he did not give ortiz a chance to win in a competitive fight wherein he showcases his claimed boxing wizardry. he just need all advantages to protect his "o" including cheating.

    Yet you hate Amir Khan.......

I guess that comes down to the fact Mayweather cherry picked Ortiz but ducked Khan so it suits your trolling agenda. :nod

Not really. He had a few flurries, but almost all those punches either missed or were blocked. Mayweather won rounds 1,3 and was winning round 4. Round 2 was close. Somehow though, Mayweather "cheated" by punching a guy in the face during a round of boxing.

Lets take a look at the article shall we? :D

Now, in terms of potential he's right. When Ortiz first came on he had the physical gifts to succeed. Unfortunately, as we would find out time and time again he mentally just did not have it and so in terms of accomplishment, he's dead wrong.

Wow...Life must suck when you've gone from the next boxing superstar to some mook at the door being turned away from the biggest fight.

Well it was his dumbass fault but I'd be p***ed if I was on the wrong end of Mayweather's best KO.

Bet he didn't think this when he saw the $_$ :deal $_$

Hmmmm...I think people pretty much got over it pretty quick, except Mayweather haters and they forgot about it after Mayweather's next fight >_<

Yes you will but all for the wrong reasons >_<

Ortiz...Boxing is not what you deserve it's what you negotiate. But it's also what have you done lately business and what you've been doing is No Mas'ing. But it was a fun fight while it lasted so why the hell not give this crazy B*****d another go :D

    :deal

I just watched some youtube highlights of Ortiz.. he had some great fights!

Even with his losses he's had a respectable career. We all hold the bar so high as to what is a good career but even if he doesnt fight again Victor can hold his head high.

That's pathetic, a sucker punch KO equals no need for rematch for floyd fans.

Ortiz was coming on, that round was his until he threw the headbutt and got a point deducted. He had the size too, shame it ended the way it did, but c'est la vie.
