    My pops just called me from Arizona and said he heard De La Hoya on Spanish radio talking about Vicious Victor Ortiz fighting this Thursday on fox sports. I hadn't heard anything about it but checked it out online and it's true. Victor Ortiz vs Hector Alatorre, Feb 25th Club Nokia, LA . I didn't see it listed on eastside's schedule so I thought I'd pass on the info for anyone else, who like myself would have missed this.

    Just a stay busy bout before the Campbell fight. Still should be entertaining while it lasts.

    Cool man, thanx for the thanx. I've never heard of Hector Alatorre before but boxrec has him 16 wins no losses with 8 ko's. Otriz will probably make short work of him considering his fight with Campbell is already a done deal. Still, it's always good to catch a free fight on basic cable.

    Oh sure. According to Rico, all of Maidana's opponents apart from Kotelnik had glass jaws.

    Say what you want about Ortiz, who took some major shots from a huge puncher, he aint glass jawed. Youve admitted to taking steroids on here before - doesnt that make you a bit pathetic? Surely you should just shut your mouth and refrain from criticising guys who actually put the work in instead of attemting to cheat their way to a goal?

    Yeah, I'm not denying that Ortiz quitting against Maidana as well as his post fight behavior leaves a bad taste but I'll cut him a little slack. After all, he's a kid, I'm sure he regrets it. Golden Boy shouldn't have rushed him like that. He didn't belong in the ring with a puncher like Marcos so early in his career, and still, up until his "breakdown" he looked pretty good. It was really exiting while it lasted.
