    At what stage does Upton, who at won 0 (KO 0) + lost 6 (KO 3) + drawn 0 is not allowed to fight anymore. Forget about McColl, shouldn't the powers that be withdraw his license?

    Upton was floored 30 seconds into the fight & was clearly unsteady on his feet, but ref let it continue.
    It was only matter of time he was gonna go down again...and so he did. Groggy as he was ref let it go on, eventually stopping it on towel 72 seconds into fight.

    Commentators couldn't believe what they were seeing. Barry Michael even dropped the magic word......yelling out stop it, stop it, stop it.

    Another who should be tapped on the shoulder before he gets really hurt
    is Indo journeyman Aswin Cabuy 14-48-4
    Cabuy fought on the same card as Upton. The paying public deserve better.
    Boxing officials and matchmakers have to do better than this.

    I agree McColl not up yo it. New boy on the block who does a lot wrong

    Yep -Not up to this level. Should go into amaters to learn. Not a boxing person anyway. just a blow in:happy

    So tell me how does it work? Does McColl have to have some sort of Boxing experience or at least reffed in the amateurs first? I understand its not a pre-req to have fought to be a judge but surely someone as close to the fight as the ref should have some sort of fight / ring experience?

    Is a Judge- Moved into reffing somehow. No Boxing history as a pugilist, thats why he is slow to react in situations. Never been i the ring

    I watched this bloke referee in Melbourne twice last year. One word springs to mind.....Clueless..
